The Last 'Lesson'... Goodbye, 2E2

Friendship is akin to standing
On a wet cement;
The longer you stay,
The harder it is to stray.
And when you leave,
You can never leave,

Without leaving your footprints...

As friends part,
When time passes,
There could be a moment;
Just a moment,
When the two pairs of feet,
From places afar, meet

This moment.
May be one of the best moments

Of life, to meet
An old friend.

Years passed,
Lines from life's journey,
Deepened on weary faces.
Yet, the deep lines of crescent,
From the smiles,
Enliven the line of friendship,
Once dearly held.

Time seems to halt.
Who says it waits for no one,
For the good old times,
From days of yore,
Awaken with a sheepish yawn,
Once more.

In the time frozen,
As reality sets in,
Hearts settled,
In a moment,
Just a moment,
You realised how much,
How so very much,

You missed having him/ her around...

Flash Mob at Raffles Place 23.10.09

From the Straits Times

SOME were reading the papers while others were standing idly by.

And when the music came on, 200 dancers took the onlookers at Raffles Place by surprise as they broke into a choreographed dance.

'The toughest part of the flash mob was to train 200 people for the dance. We don't have a space to accommodate everybody so we separate them in groups,' said Ms Carol Cheong, the dance choreographer for the flash mob.

The routine took them around two weeks to put together.

Increasingly, flash mobs are used as publicity stunts without the original spontaneity.

2009-09-06 2E2 Class Party I

The pictures are taken with my 1-day old IDIOT-PROOF digital camera, where all you need is to have your object posed, your index finger gently pressed onto the PROMINENT button (Jun Hong missed the button... I wonder how), and TA DA, picture perfect. I can never understand how the so claimed rofessionals would want to avail themselves to make so many unfathomable settings to aperture size, shutter speed, and what else??? My pictures always turn out perfect; these 'professionals' love to say "Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder". OK! I got the OBVIOUS implication!

Anyway, the class party, held the fourth or has it been the fifth time, was well enjoyed and half attended (about 20++ out of a class of 42 + 2). As has happened to ALL the other class parties I so honorably 'graced', a welcome party stood by and showered me with WATER of blessing. Barely stepping into the BBQ pit, an orange balloon aimed in my direction, flew into the air spinning anti-clockwise from my perspective, and KABOOM! The central part of my patriotic red Adidas climaLite jersey, of which my defined pectoral lay beneath, turned into a sad blemish of dark red through the UNnatural natural (you are not seeing double images here!) process of sudden increased humidity (What am I talking about? Errr... I'll consult Mr Goh on the physics of this).

The party went on with the boys (+ CC) playing basketball, the girls gossiping (so 38) about not so super SUPER JUNIOR (What's so good about 13, or is it 14 ORDINARY boys singing an ATTEMPTED-TO-BE-NICE not nice song???), yes, the INTELLECTUAL discussion went in to the analysis of all the Kims, the Lees, the... (limited knowledge on the surnames of the Koreans... -_-), and well... I realised also that many of our girls are MARRIED to the KIMs and the LEEs (self-proclaimed); the problem is, the Kims and the Lees do not even know our very LOVELY girls.

Then, a series of events happened. It was 1800h. The tennis court booked for OUR use was suddenly filled with 7 people (you know who...) playing tennis, the supporters screaming in the stand (you know who!!!), water bombs raged just outside the court, glorious food came, the MAN using the neighbouring court rolled his eyeballs sideways with disdain, disgust, dislike,... and yes, the security guard came, for the 100th time!

Well, for those who have never been to our class party, there are always a few WILL-HAVEs for the parties. The class party WILL always have FOOD, WILL always have BASKETBALL, WATER, WILL always have CASSANDRA ;-P, and lastly, WILL always have SECURITY GUARDS with complaining RICH residents barking COMPLAINTS in their MI6 lookalike walkie talkies (OK, maybe they are not really MI6 gadgets, but hey, adding MI6 just seems so sensational! Anyway... ).

Next, POOL action. (I shall say no more... body aching now from all the you know what...)

See, this is our class party. Wait, there is PART 2 to the class party! Can you imagine the conclusion of Party I which ended around 2230h, was the commencement of Party II??? Check my next entry for Party II. All the can-see photographs have finally been uploaded (Blogger really takes THIS long to upload despite my HIGH broadband speed. When is Sg going to have 1TB/sec uploading???)

Till then!
